Firm History

After she finished law school, Roni Deutch had a desire to help the millions of Americans in this country who need help with their IRS back tax liabilities. With huge amounts of student debt to her name, Roni Deutch opened up the Law Offices of Roni Deutch from a small one bedroom condo in West Sacramento, California over sixteen years ago. She maxed out a credit card to pay for her first television commercial, which aired on the noon news in Sacramento. Soon after her first commercial aired Roni set up an office in downtown Sacramento at H and 20th. Originally, the tiny office that housed her law office was only about five hundred square feet, but Roni soon expanded. The Law Offices of Roni Deutch eventually occupied the majority of the downtown building. Before too long there wasn’t even enough room for her law offices in the one building and the offices spread into a second building located at J and 23rd, which was only a few blocks away.

Our offices were located at the two locations in downtown Sacramento until 2001 when our law firm moved into a ten thousand square foot office at 4366 Auburn Blvd. However, as it quickly became apparent that the firm was outgrowing the Auburn location Roni purchased a piece of land in North Highlands and built a brand new twenty thousand square foot office building for the law office to move into. Construction completed on the new office at 4815 Watt Ave towards the end of 2004 and the law office officially moved to the new location in November. The law office was then incorporated as Roni Lynn Deutch, A Professional Tax Corporation. Although our headquarters are located in California, we represent thousands of taxpayers from all across the country. We do not require face-to-face meetings and work with our clients via telephone allowing them to remain in the comfort of their own homes.

When Roni Deutch first opened her firm it focused exclusively on providing tax debt relief through IRS Offers in Compromise, which in certain cases allows a taxpayer to settle with the IRS for a lesser amount than what was originally owed. But Roni Deutch soon realized that there were people who did not qualify for an Offer in Compromise, but still needed help with their tax problems. After successfully completing several test cases in early 1999, the firm officially began preparing Installment Agreements with the IRS, which allow a taxpayer to pay back all or part of the total back taxes owed through manageable monthly payments. After the well-received addition of the firm’s second form of tax relief service, Roni Deutch added Currently Not Collectible status to the firm’s list of services in March of 2004. Being placed on the IRS’s Currently Not Collectible status essentially ceases all collection activity by the IRS unless a taxpayers financial situation changes. Two years later in October 2006, Roni added Tax Account Review to her firm’s services, which provides specific information about the status of a taxpayers account with the IRS. The following month Roni introduced her latest legal service Full Pay Service, which strives to help taxpayers make the final arrangements to pay off their tax debt.

With no other opportunities to expand the legal services her firm offers, Roni Deutch was still looking to help more American taxpayers. Thus, in the beginning of 2007, the firm made all of its services available to Hispanic Americans throughout the country by employing Spanish speaking representatives and launching a Spanish advertising campaign.

Staying current with technology has always been important to Roni Deutch. In 1998, Roni Lynn Deutch, A Professional Tax Corporation became one of the first law firms in the nation to employ a dedicated Information Technology department providing in house custom designed software for the firm. The software programs designed by our Information Technology department have enabled us to automate certain tasks making our services much more efficient for all our clients. In keeping with the advancing technology, Roni Lynn Deutch, A Professional Tax Corporation launched its website on February 23, 2006. With an in house Internet Marketing Department and a professional website, Roni Deutch was able to reach out to thousands of additional clients looking for help with their taxes online. The web site now accounts for about forty percent of the firm's business. As the Internet moves into a new Web 2.0 world, Roni Deutch launched her blog, RonisBlog.com with daily entries on many of Roni’s favorite topics including tax news.
